Neurology

In addition to examining the nervous system, the neurologist’s role is to identify disorders and treat diseases. In addition to a general neurological examination, our neurologist evaluates MRI findings as needed, discusses any detected abnormalities, and formulates a treatment plan. An ultrasound examination of the neck vessels allows us to assess the condition of the brain’s main blood supply vessels.

In more detail:

Patients most commonly seek outpatient neurological care for the following symptoms: long-standing or frequent headaches, dizziness, speech difficulties, balance problems, impaired coordination, tremors, numbness in the limbs, limb weakness, loss of consciousness, visual disturbances, seizures, memory problems, forgetfulness, and pain in the spine and limbs.

A detailed interview with the patient regarding their medical history, family history, and current symptoms, review of previous test results, and a highly informative physical neurological examination, a highly accurate preliminary diagnosis can be made, a treatment plan can be established, and instrumental examinations may also be indicated.

In addition to the examination and treatment of acute complaints and illnesses, the care of chronic patients (e.g., stroke survivors, patients with Parkinson’s disease, those suffering from migraines or chronic headaches, patients with epilepsy, and those with spinal disorders) can also be incorporated into the scope of private neurology practice.

Rheumatology

In our rheumatology practice, we perform a comprehensive musculoskeletal assessment for our patients, supplementing it with imaging studies as needed, or referring them to other specialties. In addition to consultations, we provide medication and local injection treatments, joint chondroprotective therapy, and, if needed, we prescribe complex physical and balneotherapy regimens.

Urology

In addition to treating general urological problems in both men and women, our urologist provides andrological care and counseling. His practice is supported by ultrasound diagnostics and MRI scans.

A little more detail:

Urology deals with diseases of the kidneys, urinary tract, prostate, testicles, epididymis, seminal vesicles, and vas deferens. The following services are available during the consultation:

  • screening for pediatric urological conditions (diseases of the testicles and urethra);
  • diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory conditions (urethritis, cystitis, inflammatory skin lesions);
  • examination of inflammatory diseases of the testicles and epididymis, cysts, and varicoceles;
  • treatment of inflammatory and stone-related kidney diseases;
  • examination and treatment of prostatitis, as well as lifestyle counseling;
  • examination of sexually transmitted diseases in men, and guidance for partners;
  • examination and targeted treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections;
  • prostate cancer screening, examination, and, if confirmed, urological oncology care, lifestyle counseling, and screening of family members;
  • detection of kidney cancer, clinical consultation, post-surgical urological oncology care, and lifestyle counseling;
  • detection of bladder tumors, clinical consultation, urological oncology care, lifestyle counseling;
  • testicular tumor screening, evaluation, clinical consultation, urological oncology care, counseling;
  • clarification of causes of unexplained pain in the kidney and lower back, confirmation or exclusion of urological causes, referral for further evaluation (to neurology or rheumatology);
  • investigation of the causes of erectile dysfunction, causal therapy where possible, clinical consultation, monitoring of drug therapy;
  • initial evaluation of prospective fathers in family planning programs, referral to higher-level care—an andrology center—if necessary.

Radiology

Our radiologist performs ultrasound examinations, evaluates MRI imaging, and, upon the patient’s request, demonstrates the observed abnormalities during a personal consultation.

Orthopedics

Our orthopedic specialist provides orthopedic care for both adults and children. His responsibilities include treating joint diseases, screening for hip and spinal conditions, managing inflammatory muscle and joint pain, and treating sprains, strains, back pain, and sports injuries. He administers joint injections when medically indicated. His or her practice is supported by ultrasound diagnostics and MRI examinations.

Cardiology – Internal Medicine

Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is a medical specialty that examines the human body as a whole and deals with diseases affecting the entire human organism. It most effectively integrates other medical specialties in terms of prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. For this reason, an internal medicine specialist can be of great help in cases where a patient wishes to undergo an examination to maintain their health; if they have general symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, abdominal pain, headaches, or dizziness; or to investigate the cause of unexplained weight changes or a fever.

During the internal medicine examination, the patient’s medical history is taken. The doctor asks the patient about previous illnesses, surgeries, family medical history, lifestyle, and any medications taken regularly. This is followed by a physical examination, which includes a visual inspection, examination of the chest, abdomen, musculoskeletal system, heart function, and breathing, as well as blood pressure measurement.

Based on this, the doctor establishes a preliminary diagnosis, for which they order additional tests (lab, X-ray, ultrasound, ECG) as needed, and may arrange for further specialist consultations. They then develop a personalized treatment plan and recommend both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments.

The internist provides ongoing care, meaning they manage the patient according to their condition, and thus recommend follow-up examinations to maintain the stability of chronic diseases.

Cardiology

Cardiology is the branch of internal medicine that deals with cardiovascular diseases, which are among the most common causes of death.

The cardiologist’s responsibilities include diagnosing and treating high blood pressure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease caused by atherosclerosis, heart valve defects, and heart failure, as well as correcting lipid abnormalities.

If you experience the following symptoms, it is advisable to visit a cardiology clinic: a strong sensation of heart palpitations, shortness of breath, chest pain, swelling in the legs, dizziness, possible loss of consciousness, or high blood pressure.

A cardiology examination begins with taking a medical history. The doctor asks about specific symptoms, as well as past medical history and any family history of disease. During the physical examination, the doctor looks for visible signs suggestive of heart problems (e.g., shortness of breath, edema), followed by measurement of the pulse and blood pressure. Finally, the doctor uses a stethoscope to listen to the lungs and heart sounds. Based on these findings, the doctor may order further specific diagnostic tests. The ECG is an indispensable part of a cardiological examination. Based on the ECG waveform, the cardiologist can infer the presence of certain diseases. Echocardiography is one of the most important methods in non-invasive cardiology. It can be used to examine heart function, wall motion abnormalities, valvular diseases, lesions in the heart chambers, and fluid in the pericardium.

measurement of waist-to-hip ratio, measurement of arm circumference, and measurement of body fat percentage using BIA (Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis).
After determining nutritional status, the patient’s energy and nutrient requirements are established, followed by the collection of a detailed dietary history.
The 3-day food diary previously sent to the patient and brought to the appointment, as well as the blood sugar log (if applicable) and laboratory test results, are evaluated.

Once we have assessed the patient’s dietary habits and health status, we proceed to a detailed discussion of an appropriate diet. The counseling provided is personalized and fully tailored to the patient’s lifestyle.
At the end of the session, a written information packet is provided, including a 3-day sample meal plan and recipe ideas.
Patients have the option to request 7-day, 10-day, or 14-day meal plans, which are created using the NutriComp DietCAD meal planning software. Along with the meal plan, we provide a shopping list and recipe descriptions, including ingredient quantities and nutritional information.
